Doxypet (Doxycyclin + Milchsäurebakterien) ist ein Breitbandantibiotikum, das in der Veterinärmedizin, vorwiegend bei Hunden und Katzen, zur Behandlung verschiedener bakterieller Infektionen eingesetzt wird. Dazu gehören Atemwegserkrankungen (Rhinitis, Bronchopneumonie), durch Zecken übertragene Krankheiten (Ehrlichiose, Lyme-Borreliose, Babesiose), Hautinfektionen, Harnwegsinfektionen und Magen-Darm-Infektionen. Doxypet hemmt das Bakterienwachstum. Es wird auch bei bestimmten Erkrankungen wie Leptospirose und hämotropher Mykoplasmose angewendet, oft in Kombination mit Probiotika zur Unterstützung der Darmgesundheit.
