Thorazin – das Produkt von GlaxoSmithKline und Zuellig Pharma, basierend auf Chlorpromazin, der Substanz, die zu einer neuroleptischen Gruppe aliphatischer Derivate von Phenothiazin gehört. Es hat eine ausgeprägte antipsychotische Wirkung, beseitigt psychomotorische Unruhe, reduziert Angst, Aggressivität und psychomotorische Hemmung. Neben neuroleptischen und beruhigenden Eigenschaften hat es eine antiemetische, hypothermische, blutdrucksenkende, antihistaminische und antiserotonische Wirkung. Es blockiert zentrale adrenerge und dopaminerge interne Kontakte. Potenzielle Wirkung von Analgetika, Lokalanästhetika, Hypnotika und Antikonvulsiva.
