デソゲン（デソゲストレルとエチニルエストラジオール）は、排卵を抑制し子宮頸管粘液を変化させることで妊娠を防ぐことを主な目的とする経口避妊薬です。また、月経周期の調整、月経痛（月経困難症）の軽減、ニキビの治療、子宮内膜症や多嚢胞性卵巣症候群（PCOS）などの症状の管理にも処方されます。
